Social Media / Event Coordinator (Temecula/San Diego)

Position Summary:

This candidate’s mission will be to establish and develop the marketing/event efforts of Black Market Brewing Co - Temecula, San Diego & The SCIF (Our Sour Project).

The Marketing and Events coordinator's primary duty is to manage the social media posts on a daily basis, identify community partnership opportunities and book private party events.  The ideal candidate will be organized, enthusiastic, an excellent communicator, and passionate about consumer marketing as well as the craft beer industry. This position reports directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop an internal and external marketing plan while constantly searching to improve;
Assist the General Manager in coordinating staffing for certain events, both on and off-site;
Support BMB team members on and off-site for certain events;
Order merchandise as agreed upon by the creative team, and upper management;
Reach out to local influencers and non-profit organizations about strategic event partnerships;
Create and implement social media posts 
Create and distribute powerful, well written press releases;
Maintain a stock of photographs and marketing materials to be used for various marketing and social media efforts;
Respond to social media questions as well as our information/marketing email addresses;
Minor website upkeep;
Develop and implement graphic packages and creative campaigns for new product launches, brand events, sponsored events, wholesaler/retailer marketing and sales collateral;
Provide General Manager with weekly reports on all of the above;

Position Requirements:

Must be 21 years of age, or older;
Craft beer industry passion, and appreciation of the culture that goes along with it;
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
Ability to work nights and weekend, if needed;
Certified Cicerone or Beer Server considered a plus;
 

CellarMan/Packaging Lead (Temecula, CA)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clean/Fill kegs
Clean tap lines
Maintain packaging records
Work canning line 
Clean and maintain the keg washing and brewing areas
Load and unload trucks
Assist with maintenance and overall cleanliness of entire brewery and cellar including tank exteriors and floors
Performs other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

High School diploma or GED equivalency
Must have a valid California driver’s license
Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals
Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a wide variety of small hand tools
Attention to details is a MUST!
Enthusiasm and strong personal knowledge of the microbrewery industry and market is preferred
Ability to work well with superiors and co-workers in a production/warehouse environment
Ability to change tasks quickly and still maintain brewery standards
Ability to regularly lift, push or pull up to 170 pounds

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties the employee is:

Constantly required to use fine manipulation and simple grasping in order to handle production equipment
Frequently required to communicate with others

Frequently required to lift and transport items weighing up to 50-170 lbs
Equipment typically used: Keg washer, keg fill rig with a portable pump, pallet jack and forklift, canning line and portable pump.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Employee frequently works in a brewery environment with a moderate amount of noise and activity. The work environment is fast-paced, demanding, and potentially tiring.

Pizza Baker (Temecula / San Diego, CA)

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean station 
  • Organize and navigate kitchen and storage areas
  • Setup stock station with necessary supplies, restock when necessary
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking pizza and making salads (chopping vegetables, making dough, preparing sauces, etc.)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with other food staff 
  • Handle appropriate plating and presentation

Tasting Room Server (Temecula / San Diego CA)

As part of the Black Market team, Servers educate our customers on our craft beer offerrings as well as the craft beer industry.  Servers must promote and provide excellent customer service skills as the Tasting Room is the public face of Black Market.

Accountant (Temecula, CA)

Responsibilities:

Prepare bank ACH and wire transfers for the electronic payments and receipts for vendors and customers 

Maintain and develop cash controls for restaurant and distribution operations

Maintain depreciation schedules and fixed asset records

Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements

Responsible for accurate and timely uploads of business units systems into Accounting Software

Responsible for Inter-company reconciliation and entries

Responsible for timely preparation of G/L entries and account reconciliation for month-end close

Responsible for monthly financial statement preparation

Prepare sales and use tax reporting

Prepare accounting and tax schedules in support of company tax returns and annual audits

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance

5 to 7 years of accounting experience

Advanced MS Office skills

Strong process management, leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

Customer service experience is a must

Effective verbal and written communication abilities

Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior
