We are currently searching for a Brewer to join our Temecula/San Diego brewery team. This position will be required to split their time brewing between Temecula and San Diego. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience within a medium/large brewery setting and have a thorough understanding of brewery science.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Recipe formulation and development; Create, brew, and refine new and existing beer recipes..
Manage the brew calendar to ensure scheduling and production fulfill the company’s requirements.
Develop and formalize standard operating procedures for all brewery processes; monitor each step of the brewing process.
Implement strategies for process improvement and workflow efficiency.
Mentor and train other brewery team members.
Ensure proper use of all cleaning/sanitizing chemicals/agents and adherence to all prescribed safety protocols.
Maintain the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Serve as a resource for equipment maintenance.
At least 3 years of experience in a lead brewing capacity
Brewing degree ideal; however, someone with a proven track record and well-documented background in brewing operations may also be considered for this opportunity
Experience with a 15 bbl system or greater
Strong mechanical background; Strong cleaning/sanitizing background; Lab skills and Micro understanding; Yeast handling proficiency
Ability to work at a very fast pace yet be precise in daily tasks; excellent time management, prioritization, and delegating skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and attentive to quality and standards
Full availability throughout the week: ability to work morning, mid-day, overnight, and or weekend shifts when necessary
Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Ability to lift 55 lbs. and move up to 165 lbs. using traditional methods
Ability to ascend and descend a staircase and/or ladder repeatedly throughout shift
Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
Frequently exposed to strong and sometimes disagreeable odors and occasionally exposed to caustic chemical
Frequently exposed to wet conditions and work in extreme cold or heat
CellarMan/Packaging Lead (Temecula, CA)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clean tap lines
Maintain packaging records
Work canning line
Clean and maintain the keg washing and brewing areas
Load and unload trucks
Assist with maintenance and overall cleanliness of entire brewery and cellar including tank exteriors and floors
Performs other duties as assigned
High School diploma or GED equivalency
Must have a valid California driver’s license
Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals
Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a wide variety of small hand tools
Attention to details is a MUST!
Enthusiasm and strong personal knowledge of the microbrewery industry and market is preferred
Ability to work well with superiors and co-workers in a production/warehouse environment
Ability to change tasks quickly and still maintain brewery standards
Ability to regularly lift, push or pull up to 170 pounds

Pizza Baker (Temecula / San Diego, CA)

As part of the Black Market team, Servers educate our customers on our craft beer offerrings as well as the craft beer industry. Servers must promote and provide excellent customer service skills as the Tasting Room is the public face of Black Market.

Prepare bank ACH and wire transfers for the electronic payments and receipts for vendors and customers
Maintain and develop cash controls for restaurant and distribution operations
Maintain depreciation schedules and fixed asset records
Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements
Responsible for accurate and timely uploads of business units systems into Accounting Software
Responsible for Inter-company reconciliation and entries
Responsible for timely preparation of G/L entries and account reconciliation for month-end close
Responsible for monthly financial statement preparation
Prepare sales and use tax reporting
Prepare accounting and tax schedules in support of company tax returns and annual audits
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance
5 to 7 years of accounting experience
Advanced MS Office skills
Strong process management, leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Customer service experience is a must
Effective verbal and written communication abilities
Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior
